this might be silly but for a week I heard footsteps in my upstairs hallway & would feel eyes on me in my living room when the lights were out & everyone was asleep. It started all of a sudden, nothing leading up to it. our floors upstairs are really creeky so if anyone walks on it it creeks but when I would hear the noise I would get up & check on my kids & they would be SOUND asleep & then on christmas we found out my husband's bro-inlaw passed away & now the noises have stopped ...
Answer: Hi there cestlaviebatman. Okay, don't worry. It could certainly mean that, yes. I am so sorry for your family's loss. There have been many stories like yours' where people have gotten "signs" from loved ones, either when they were on the cusp of passing or just after they'd passed (but when their families/loved ones hadn't gotten the news yet). I'm unsure due to your information if he had passed away before these events occurred, in which case if that were so, it could have been his simple way of saying goodbye. And if not, he may have been close to passing, and was also "making the rounds". The latter usually only happens if a person is quite sick, etc., not if they are taken quickly or in some kind of accident. Anyway, I do believe that it is no coincidence it is so closely timed to the passing of someone in the family, and that after you have heard and dealt with the news, it has gone. Don't worry about the events- in fact, I would be comforted that he was maybe just saying goodbye. If you hear anything else or if anything starts up again, please let me know, but I believe it probably had to do with his death. Again, sorry for your family's loss. <3
