idk i was kind of annoyed because school has this tendency to take everything and make it seem forced and the general attitude that schools have towards educating people and what they plan to do with their lives doesn't really take on an individual approach, instead they insist that everyone get mindlessly shuffled along this bureaucratic conveyor belt and should you question it you can literally be punished for it; the "think outside of the box" mentality is not one that is appreciated and they assume that people's futures are strictly shaped by their grades and the degree they plan on pursuing in post secondary (and god forbid if you don't plan on going to post secondary, you have failed as an individual for not doing what is a societal norm)
i guess just the main thing that irks me about school is the emphasis on order and conformity; the idea that people need to walk in lines, have a seating plan enforced, follow a strict schedule that determines when they are to eat and socialize, etc. is frustrating and the way the school system deals with things is in an extremely bureaucratic manner (people having to use numbered identification cards all the time, the way in which complaints or concerns seem to climb a ladder of authority and yet never reach the ears of anyone equipped to deal with it, grade systems, etc.)
i've literally had teachers say "you belong to us" and stuff like that to me and my classmates and it's all just very unsettling and feels more like a DMV than a place that one would go to acquire knowledge
