trevor really only started doing meth a few years prior to 2013 and a few years after 2004 so i mean, he was doing drugs -- most likely heroin and lsd -- but i think it got to the point where he hit his breaking point because he didn’t have his only friend; the only person who understood his troubles and saw the storm but didn’t run away and so he’s thinking michael’s in the ground and nervous ron tries to reaffirm him that he should “let the past die” but he just is having a hard time adjusted to the fact that brad’s “in jail” and michael was “in the ground”. and he probably thought they could’ve prevented this if they just didn’t head for the chopper. he only uses the meth to numb out the fact that it just could’ve been prevented if they didn’t head for the non-existent chopper. because he misses his best friend, his partner in crime. he misses him so he numbs out the feeling of missing him.
