A Nightmare in the Monstro Lounge
Twisted Halloween Event: Floyd Leech
Costume: Freddy Krueger
“Floyd?” You called out as you slipped inside the Monstro Lounge. You had been here plenty of times after closing, but it had never been this dark before. The only light left on was the ones in the large water tank. “Jade? Azul?” You called out looking around.Â
Silence
The darkness of the room was slowly starting to feel like it was swallowing you whole. “You told me to meet you here! Where are you?” You stepped deeper in. You heard the door shut followed by two clicks, one for the knob and one for the lock. “This isn’t funny guys!” Since you didn’t have a way out, you stepped further into the room, slowly weaving your way through the booths and tables.
“Shrimpy~” You heard Floyd’s voice call out ominously from the darkness, but you couldn’t tell from where or even which direction. “Come find me.”Â
“F-floyd I know that’s you! C-cut it out.” You hadn’t realized how shaky you were until you heard your own voice. You decided, like most horror movie victims do, to travel further inside the dark spooky place. You held yourself as you followed after a faint light. BAM! You froze as a loud crash coming from the room you had just left. “H-hello?” You called out, though it was less of a call and more simply talking volume.
There was no answer, only the sound of running water.Â
You trudged on ahead, simply longing for the light rather than the possibility of a person waiting in it. You stopped in your tracks again once again as an ominous chuckle filled the air. It seemed to come from every direction. You felt a presence behind you, like the feeling of someone watching you. Hesitantly you begin to turn and peer back. In the dark it takes a moment for your eyes to adjust and see a figure looming deeper in the hall; there is a soft reflection off something metallic and sharp. Things are still for a moment before the figure starts moving toward you at a rapid pace.Â
A scream of terror escapes your lips as the fear consumes you. You stumble as you scramble forward trying to make it to the open door at the end of the hall. As if it would save you.
Just as you were about to reach the door you felt a pressure on your back. Something pushing you forward and onto the floor of the dimly lit storage room.Â
“NO! No! LET GO!” You screamed trying to struggle under the force that held you down and flipped you over. Your eyes shot open as you felt cold metal against your cheek.Â
“Haha! You look so scared Shrimpy.” With blurry vision from tear filled eyes you made out the vague figure of Floyd looming over you. He wore a ripped red and green striped sweater, a tattered fedora, and was wearing a knifed glove that he had pulled away from your face to wave at you. You couldn’t even manage words as you just sputtered nonsense, as your brain struggled to grasp the reality that you weren’t going to die.Â
However, there was still a dark look in Floyd’s eyes. Like he hadn’t finished with his fun yet. “It’s not over yet.” He smirked before dragging the bladed hand down your torso, cutting open the front of your costume. “I still want to see you skewered.”Â
