I fucking love that the Winged Lion in Laios is the only one looking directly at the viewer, makes them feel uncanny and a little bit like they can see through to our world a bit too

I saw a sight hound for the first time during the Thanksgiving dog show. I kinda get what people are saying about Machete big ol wet eyes now. Loved seeing that type of dog for the first time, what a treat 🧡

Especially in how I feel like his gender warps over time pre-calamity to botw time. I really fuck with the idea that he was born a girl and was really pushed into masculinity after pulling the Sword. (something something prophecy about the hero being a boy) but I don’t think he’d be entirely disconnected from his feelings of femininity. I think he just- added that to the list of things he has to mask about because of the pressure surrounding him. I also like the idea that he’s not exactly binary gender no matter what he does; just an androgynous girloy who never really is a man or a woman but is also simultaneously both.

It was SOOOOOO WORTH THE PAY OFF HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!! There is so much good wiggling this chapter did with my brain; Aita and Mineru talking and finding common ground; Khoga being told to his face by the Demon King that his help isnt wanted; AITAS LITTLE "KEEP POSITIVE" TO LINK.
