they know that they are an abomination before god and they do remember the slaughter of the other nephilim. so they’re pretty sure that if they run into other angels, that they will be killed on the spot. and despite what people think, they really do value staying alive.

i’ve talked before about how they were only born with two instincts, well put simply one of them was to run from the heavenly host. and that instinct has served them pretty well over the years. they know if they have a run in with an angel who is not their father, that they are not going to survive it.
