here is some fun things i added or did, why i did them, etc etc; just some behind the scenes stuff

- this is supposed to be in the time frame where miss peregrine was kidnapped/kept in bird form. it is so terribly heartbreaking to think that she most likely assumed that the wights had taken them all, or even worse, they had been killed. she'd have no way of knowing until her saving.

- the order of apperances from the wards if you could not tell (though i would hope you can lol): emma, olive/claire, millard, bronwyn, horace, hugh/fiona, enoch, jacob. the only one that was deliberately placed was jacob, the rest are randomized mostly picked in the spots they are due to colors.

- speaking of jacob, if you noticed, he is slightly blurried/messed up compared to everyone else. that is because since miss peregrine is kidnapped early on in the series, she wouldn't quite trust or understand jacob, but she would still care for his safety just as if he had been with her for years.

- bronwyn has a slight green spot floating behind her (with an even lighter blue glow inside of it). that is victor, more specifically, his spirit.

- i wanted to really try to give them all different running looks to them based off how i do think they would run. example, horace looks more loose and not as controlled compared to emma, given he does not frequently run or enjoy running. i did accidently give olive/claire and hugh/fiona basically the same pose though.

- some musical info here so im not sure if this will make complete sense to everyone lol, but the song is in 3/4 and each rhythmic restart in the main melody highlighted has exactly 8 main beats with 3 minor beats in each main, which is repeated twice (why each character is shown twice). while i do think miss p would think individually of each, in order to satisfy this pattern, i had to double up a few, and it made the most sense to do that to olive/claire and hugh/fiona.

- the small doodles took me longer to draw that the intricate peregrine. i kept messing up on the colors, mostly bronwyn and millard, in which i had to redo both of them 3 times.

so in the movie, the monster is known as a "still life", and basically it is made off of the memories of a person; it takes all of a person's worst qualities, regrets, fears, etc etc, and comes out as its own entity/"person". so clark's is dressed like his pirate persona because of a combo of all the things said above lol (regret and fear and all that). i wanted to incorporate horace's peculiarities in these designs as well, and i ended up with two; one much more abstract and one much more human.

the abstract one is something i think you'd see more in the series that are on youtube while the more human-esque one is more the movie's style. though id like to think the movie has monsters in the backrooms similar to what the series of videos has (like the lifeform), they just werent shown because we didn't explore too much outside the base level/level 0.

the more abstract still life of horace has half a star/star-esque shape as a head to represent horace's peculiarity, while the mouth coming out from the side represents a hollowgast. i like to think the this "horace" creature, as well as most persons, can't actually see that part of it, and instead it just looks like a jagged hole. the creature itself however can feel it. the same applies to the arm on our right side, which is a hollowgast tentacle. it is covered in various wight eyes with only two of them being normal (front of face, our right hand). it's upper left arm is more whispy, an homage to the all seeing eye in which that ties into horace's prophetic abilities. it keeps the suit and tie that horace commonly wears. there is a broken halo that hovers in between the points of the star and a glowing cross-like piece on top of it all. this part i shouldn't have added tbh, but i thought it tied in more with horace's thoughts about his peculiarity more than the peculiarity itself, being that he should be able to help more than he actually is capable of given that he can see the future's of so many people. finally, i gave it deer legs/hooves, that represents the fragile and weakness that horace is often associated with.

the more human horace has a normal human head and hair, though wears a large hat that covers where they eyes would be. it's mouth is now an eye, representing horace being shunned for speaking out about his fear and being only used when his peculiarity is in play. his clothes are still his common suit and tie, yet they are tattered and ripped in various places, given that horace takes pride in his appearances. he's even missing a shoe. he has one good hand and one bad hand, representing the good that horace wants to be, but the fear he has keeping him back, which is seen as cowardly, "bad". on his back is a large hourglass, though you cannot see much of how fast the time within is going or how much is truly left. this represents that although horace can see many futures of people, when he does at the off chance remember the dream, he has no way of knowing if they will come true or when they will come true; a mystery that only time can tell. it also never looks away from you, as in, you can never see it's back turned.

when i make a new oc, i always try my best to incorporate elements into them that are new/not repeated, and that goes for the main series itself. luckily though overall unluckily, the main series does not offer much diversity whether that be through race or diabilty or appearance, etc etc. so in aimable's case, he is french because i have yet to make an oc that is from france. on that same note, he is albino; no he is not just very pale lol...i tried my best to replicate albinism without making him too blend-y if that makes sense. lastly, though not stated and not very noticeable, he is tall, about 6'0" (183 cm). i did this because strangely enough, i struggle to think about characters i make being tall. i just sort of assume they are all my height, which is only 5'2" (though according to the doctor the last time i went, 5'1¾"...i round it up). so with him, i emphasize the height. also sal is a short king in my eyes (5'6", 168 cm), so. heights.

with aimable's design in general, i really wanted him to be basically the exact opposite of fiona. when i was deciding on if he would be a boy or a girl, this aspect stayed the same. honestly, if he had been a girl, he would look almost exactly the same, short hair and all, except he maybe would have worn a skirt instead. this also goes into his personality (we'll get to shortly). fiona is decribed as being a bit tattered and dirty because she is always outside, and she doesn't pay much mind to her clothing or looks. able here is a bit materialistic and snobby, he is very put together and takes pride in his appearance to an annoying degree at times. if him and fiona met, appearances along would have him scoffing.

though he did not grow up this way. he actually was an orphan, being abandoned by his parents long before they even knew he had an ability; it was due to his skin condition, which hadn't been yet classified and wouldn't be until 1908. he was not treated kindly, and was looked down upon heavily, given various medicines that left him sick for days to try to "cure" him. his peculiarity didn't manifest until his late teenage years, where he was taken in by a ymbryne that introduced him to the term in a loop well past the 1910's. he was taken from the orphanage only a short time before he would have reached the "adult age" and would have been kicked out. he had thought something was wrong with him, and that his albinism was the reason he had his peculiarity, what he thought was a curse. since being looped, he's made it a priority to show himself in a way where no one can look at him "disgusted". though after decades of this mentality, it has unfortunately turned him into an sly arrogant prick.

something he does not remember (he was too young when taken to the orphanage), he has a twin sister who is neither albino nor peculiar. i wanted to do this since i was tied between making him a girl or a boy in the first place (my moots chose for me lol; they chose a lot of things for me). she was kept and raised by his family, and also does not remember him and their parents would never dare remind her of him. her name was annette.

because of this sister he doesn't remember however, he naturally drifts towards those that he considers having a sibling-like bond with, often being younger kids. he may be bratty prig, but he can loosen up around those that have no concept of appearances. he won't let other people catch him laughing and being nice though, no, he has a reputation to uphold. he hides within a mask of mean confidence.

he likes to play little tricks on people for his own amusement from time to time, which is pretty easy consitering his power. speaking of, his peculiarity isn't my usual bat-shit out-there ability id usually give an oc. i wanted it to be something a bit more casual, and we see telekinesis in the series through melina. her peculiarity is very strong...she can hold down multiple people in place restricting them from using their peculiarities while also lifting heavy furniture over them. she is younger too, in the 14-15 age range. now imagine that peculiarity, but with a 17-18 year old. yeah. op much? lol.

let's get to some fun little things now! :D

hates water/the beach. when i first thought of this i giggled like an idiot. in my headcanon, salvador's peculiarity is that he can survive in the water/is connected to it (can breathe underwater, talk to marine life, etc). the idea of able talking to sal all flirtatious and then asking what his peculiarity is and he says it's he can breathe underwater...cracks me up. aimable loves all of sal. except for that part.

i am still trying to decide on a nickname for aimable. either aim or able. i think both are actually pretty cute. though aimable absolutely would not like to be called a nickname; his name is very prestige and is who he is, not "aim" or "able". he also would throw you around via wave of an arm if you were to ever make fun of his name of use it in some sort of pun ("why don't you aim if you're able", idk smth like that lol).

wants to be a lover boy but is absolutely terrible at it. he actually really does love the genre of romance, and the idea of it gets him giddy. he has been waiting for the day he could take all of the knowledge he'd learn via romance novels and use it on someone, though he underestimated how hard it actually is to make sound good and not totally weird or cringe. later down the line, he'd learn that not trying overly hard is the way to go (and this is after he and sal would start to open up more and help eachother learn about their problems).

still has a heavy french accent. i like to imagine sal has a very heavy spanish accent as well, and when the two of them bicker, they cannot understand anything the other is saying, and neither can anyone around them.

as someone who is so intricate in details regarding fashion, this carries over to other aspects in his life as well. his room is always very tidy and spotless, and he actually does enjoy cleaning, there is something calming about it. he also loves jigsaw puzzles, he has multiple in frames around his room. his ymbryne is happy to go to various more modern loops to get him a plethora of different kinds of puzzles. it acts as a distraction to his personal perfection mentality.

has an "ugly" laugh. i put ugly in quotation marks because i believe that no one has an ugly or bad laugh, i think all laughter is beautiful. aimable's is just a bit silly and out there, in which he would think it is ugly. he likes to keep his laughter contained, even when he does find something amusing. surprising to most people, he does find physical comedy hilarious. a piano falling on someone's head is right up his ally. (sal loves his laugh though, even if he made fun of it at first; sal also sucks and has issues to work out, in which they both help eachother do so).
