Random Splatoon 3 Theory!
I don't exactly have a concrete theory about this screenshot, but it certainly is interesting. As you (most likely) know, Judd and, Lil Judd appeared in the Splatoon 3 Single Player trailer. Most people I talked to about the trailer had no ideas on how the Judd's could connect to the plot of Splatoon 3.
After I started thinking about that, I jumped on my nintendo switch and discovered that pink dish in game. From the trailer, It is essentially confirmed that Salmonids will be a part of Splatoon 3 because of Little Buddy, the reversed Grizz co laugh heard at the end, The Power eggs, and the other Salmonid related imagery.
While watching a video by Rassicas, I found this quote: "The relationship between Inklings, Salmonid, and Jellyfish has not changed since before they evolved, and although Inklings don't eat Jellyfish, that's not limited to Salmonid." (From an interview with Splatoon Director Seita Inoue, translated by Rassicas) This quote heavily implies that the salmon fillets seen in Mako mart are made of actual Salmonid meat.
If this is cannon, then what the heck? Salmonids are a fully sentient, intelligent race with beliefs and a social structure. This would be incredibly horrific to know that Salmonids are actually being farmed for their meat, and possibly eggs. Is it possible that this fact could be a part of Splatoon 3's plot?
Anyways, back to the Judd part. As you can see, there are what appears to be the exact same Salmonid fillets from Mako mart in Judd's dish. I do not have an exact theory on why there is Salmonid meat in his dish, but it could be a plot clue hinted at by the devs. It could also be a random treat given to Judd by someone, but who knows!
What do you think?
