So, “Sha Po Lang 3: Paradox” isn’t out over here yet but someone has managed to throw some fight footage online which is nice. If you recall, the first film is heralded a classic and has a legendary end fight between Doonie Yen and Sammo Hung. The sequel brought on Tony Jaa, Max Zhang and Wu Jing and while the final fight is solid, the film itself meaders a little bit. Well, the third film brings back Jaa in a cameo and has Sammo Hung on choreography duty.
Sadly, in this clip, Jaa does the same old shit he’s always done. Even with Sammo’s choreography behind him, he’s all elbows and knees. Fucking yawn. Wu Yue has a nice scrap though. The editing is a little fast paced in places but I like the action. It’s weird to see Tony Jaa as a low point of a fight scene. Oh and WARNING; this clip contains a massive spoiler.
