I love drafting warnings for fics I’m writing. I’ve got one with a solid paragraph of warnings that begins like this:
“The dove is fucking dead and the necrophiliacs are en route. The dove is decomposing. The dove is in the hands of a taxidermist who’s into bestiality.“
And includes the gem:
“This is psychological horror disguised as a romance. I will romanticize abuse.”
The only redeemable quality that these characters have is that most of them are reliable narrators. That’s it.

I love that the ides of March flooded my dash but St. Patrick’s Day gets not a mention
I wish I didn't have to write my essays. I wish I could just think my thoughts and people could know
I was writing a story about a group of vigilante monster hunters that was supposed to be mostly fun and a little angst. It wasn’t supposed to be that deep.
But as I was outlining, it felt like their tech guy looked at me through the page and said: if you want to keep deluding yourself into thinking we’re good people, go ahead, but we’re villains, plain and simple.
