Young Justice: Outsiders Countdown Day 31 - Endgame
Endgame focuses on The Team working to stop the Reach’s final plot to destroy the world and while it’s ultimately successful it leaves at a terrible cost with the Team losing one of their own.
This was an UNBELIEVABLE amazing finale for Young Justice: Invasion where we saw so many different heroes come together to stop the Reach once and for all. Although we didn’t see much of them, I just loved watching everyone come together to help stop the Reach’s Magnetic Disrupters set all over the world. While the mission was mostly successful, the Team realized they missed one and Flash, Impulse and Kid Flash run to the North Pole to stop the last one and save the world. Watching Wally’s death was truly one of the saddest moments of th entire series as Wally’s death broke the hearts of fans everywhere who strongly wish to bring him back for the newest season. Artemis’s reaction to Wally’s death was devastating, especially when she went to inform his parents. The moment they all comforted each other always makes me cry. Plus the scene when the Justice League finally returned to Earth only to receive a welcome... the iconic heroes arrival, only this time the Team arrives to greet the Justice League instead of the other way around. Again a Truly Great and Iconic moment. Before I forget to mention, I’m glad Blue Beetle got his happy ending and managed to set himself free from the Reach Once and For All.
Meanwhile, one of my favourite moments of the entire episode was the romance between Miss Martian and Superboy. Although the prequel comic that was recently released confirmed they Did Not get back together at the end like a lot of us including myself had assumed. I am still rooting for their relationship and hoping they FINALLY get back together later in Young Justice: Outsiders. In the end though, I believed the Team had truly proven themselves to the Justice League once and for all when they allowed the Team to now operate from the Watchtower side by side, showing they truly have earned their respect and have more than proven themselves. Honestly, I am really looking forward to watching the next chapter unfold for our young heroes journey, especially since the series ended on a major cliffhanger with the villainous Vandal Savage meeting Darkseid.
Overall, this was a great finale and after all these years Young Justice is finally set to make it’s long awaited return in a few short days with the first part of the prequel comic set to be released tomorrow.
