Spinner's a writer, and he's chronically online, so I imagine he's very particular about how people spell things. He likes to correct his friends over text for small mistakes in spelling!
It isnt that it really upsets him when he sees it, he just does it because it's fun. Shigaraki probably cant type very well , so he'd always be correcting his spelling in specific, I think.
"Ugh I hare leagur of ledgnds sometimes"
Spinner would cackle to himself before typing
"You hare? How do you hare?"
"Is leagur of ledgnds a new game? We should play together sometime, lol."
Shigaraki would fein anger, but the two have a good laugh. Small moments like these that spinner can remember fondly.
But, when he finally starts to write their stories, he finds himself struggling to spell a certain word, he cant help but think of those moments with a profound sadness.
'"Villain has two Ls in it, yeah?"
"No, no, his name ended with an i, not an e!"
"That doesnt look right!"
He gets so upset each time.
Especially when he spells their names wrong. He gets Shigaraki's wrong the most. It's so very disrespsctful of him, Shigaraki was his closest friend, and he cant even spell his name right? All that Spinner wants is to serve shigaraki even though he's gone now, in any way he can. Sharing his story shouldnt be so difficult for Spinner.
But it is.
And he hates it. If he cant do something as simple as this, there is nothing else he can do. Shigaraki fought tooth and nail for him and the others, and he cant even get his name right.
Spinner missed not being an idiot.
Spinner missed being able to write without not even being able to decipher it when he looks over it the next day.
Spinner misses those small moments when He'd correct Shigaraki on small mistakes like this. It seemed hypocritical, now that he looked back.
Spinner misses who he was, and he misses who he knew.
