@flyingcatstiel That last tag! But did you know that the other spn slash pairing, destiel, is now also incest according to antis? Dean called angel Castiel his family, his brother. Thatโs on top of existing major age gap between them. We are not a Spider George, we are Mega spider George of incest fandoms now. PS love your blog!

Supernatural started airing when I was already an adult, but it's occurred to me that a lot of young people in fandom have never been in fandom without Supernatural around. no wonder they think incest is a major fandom fetish: Wincest and Destiel ship wars were at their height just before LJ crashed and everyone moved to Tumblr, and before Castiel appeared there weren't a whole lot of recurring characters the brothers could be shipped with other than each other.
(and tbh I attribute the eventual ascendancy of destiel to the incest squick that most people feel: having an alternative ship available meant new fandom members had only one 'real' choice. naturally, antis have to take that away too.)
