This is crazy 😳 ...once again we are schooled by nature and it's infinite possibilities. Scientists have found a way to generate heart tissue by using a spinach leaf! Human tissue generation has been done through 3D printing but the dilemma is the inability to create a small vascular network, like the ones in our bodies that keep our tissue alive. But the similarities between our vascular system and those found in leafs have lead scientists to believe that they have found the answer. By extracting the cells from the spinach leaf and leaving behind its cellulose structure, scientist are able to demonstrate how blood necessary for human heart tissue growth is transferred through the vascular system of the leaf.
