Laying in bed, gaping and numb from the waist down; Peter was content with Logan, as he always was. Something about Logan brought this sense of stable security. A level-headed hunk was always hot. Since it's just the two of them and the dog now, Logan's been making an effort to take him out more, especially if Wade is away to try and ease his worry. Wade's a strong-willed and powerful, smart man. Slippery like an oiled up ferret. Wade called it "main charater plot armor." Logan said it's straight spite, resilliance, and training.
Laying next to the naked man, Peter litsens to his heartbeat. The bed feels bigger tonight, and yet Logan still held him close. Snores followed his heart like a rhythm, inhaling and exhaling through his nose the way a tired old man would. Part of this brought comfort to Peter. To know he will always have someone to hold him and keep him close even if Wade is away, but another part of him felt bad.
Logan was just so.. tired.. of everything. He heard his hip crack earlier when thrusting, and him groaning about his back this morning- Knees by lunch. Logan is 166 years older than him. He wonders how much pain he has to carry around on a daily basis.. Logan loves him. He wasn't blind or stupid. No man would get you a customized boutique, open all doors for you, hold your hand, kiss you in public, and take you for steak dinner if not. Completely on his own, too. Peter hadn't even mentioned a single work. Logan just took one look at him and decided himself.
Years of marriage and this stuff still make Peter more nervous than a cat on a floaty in the ocean. It gave him such a good feeling, though. It was a thick reminder that he's loved and cared for. Adored and cherished.

Logan grunts, a soft midnight complaint before his grip tightened, keeping him there, trapping him until morning. He muttered something under his breath about 'No more tonight, Darlin', scratching his beard over Peter's cheek with a deep purr.
Peter loved his purrs. They were so comforting and didn't mind that rumble in his chest. In fact, he thought it was splendid. The thick purrs he made to fill the air instantly sent him on his way to sleep city. His eyes drooped, becoming heavy as he yawned. Finally, despite the loud booms of thunder, Peter falls asleep again, happy, and completely filled with love..
