#30 Making a Choice (reversed)

This card in reversed tends to hold the message of “don’t give your power away; take control of your life by taking responsibility of your choices.” That’s the blunt of it. More in depth, Making a Choice tells us that we don’t need to be afraid of the choices we make - we can always change our minds later. That’s how we control our lives, and what surrounds us. You’ve come to a fork in the road, and you don’t know whether to go left or right. No matter left or right, even if the path you choose turns out to be a hard one, in the future more opportunities will arise with more forks and twists - and some of them might not have been there without the lessons of your previous decisions. Be honest with yourself in your motives, and if it feels right don’t hesitate. No one can tell you what to do, and no one can tell you who to be. Look deep, and listen hard to the Universe and your higher Self.

Justice

It’s normal for you to feel uncertainty, at this time, but know that the Universe has you in Her grasp and is guiding you gently. Have faith that you are not alone in what you do, and trust the you will not be lead astray - so long as you listen to your intuition, and not the voice of an outsider. Don’t allow yourself to become corrupted. I sense that how you handle your situation is being judged by someone - perhaps a new guide, or deity you once attempted to converse with.

As the title may suggest, this card doesn’t mean that you need to be a follower - it means that you need to become a leader. You may have come into contact with a person or group that could use some advice on life lessons that you have gained a good amount of wisdom for. Don’t be afraid of sharing your story to whomever you feel might need the help. You may just be the shining star they need to get through another day :)

I pulled the #25 Metamorphosis, and the #26 Deep Freeze cards from my Enchanted Maps Oracle deck.

#25 Metamorphosis

This card speaks of exactly what it means, and I get the sense that there is indeed a metamorphosis going on. And I have this whispering thought that this deep-seeded change is planted within your friend, and not so much you. Change can be very painful, especially when it deals with mentality and emotions - as these are things that change an entire person for who they are, not necessarily what they are. It can cause us to lash out, whether we mean to or not, and this can have damaging effects to any relationship in the path before them.

#26 Deep Freeze

I believe this card is a representation of the answer to your question of protection. It is highly possible that you may need to step away from a situation, in order to not allow a larger wound to cause an irreparable rift between the two of you. This doesn’t really mean that your friendship would be ended. Space isn’t an ending. But sometimes it’s needed in order for us to look from the outside to the inside, and give everyone a new perspective of what another is going through - or, for some, what they are doing to themselves and their environment.

I pulled the #15 One-Ring Circus, and the #12 Slow and Steady cards from my Enchanted Maps Oracle deck.

#15 One-Ring Circus

The imagery of this card is of a young woman dressed in a circus dress and top-hat, sitting on the back on an elephant. This elephant stands upon a great rock of red stone with cliffs on all four sides, the ocean wild and vast surrounding them as the moon looks on as a crescent in a daytime sky. From this I get the sense that independence is something you hold fast to. The lesson of self-reliance is strong for you, and this had made you wise about various situations. I feel as though you’re being told to use this wisdom, right now, to solidify your boundaries from what is outside of your world. You’re encouraged to remember where you end and others begin, and to use discernment when managing these relationships for the greater health of your emotional and mental Self.

#12 Slow and Steady

This card is as simple as its title. Slow and Steady tells us that we need to slow down, and take the time to enjoy some of the more leisurely aspects of the world around us in order to realise our dreams. It doesn’t always have to be “go, go, go,” even if that’s what it seems we are supposed to be doing. Try setting aside time for a mini-vacation. Go and walk among the trees, or visit the ocean. Do this alone, or with that one friend that you always enjoy the company of. Savor everything.

#53 Listening (reversed)

I’ve been seeing this card often, the passed couple of days, but I get the feeling that in this reading the explanation is a little different. There is a chance that you may be not listening yourself - be it to your own intuition, or even someone else in whatever picture that resonated in some way that’s counter-productive. But here I feel like there’s a lack of validation, and no matter how hard you try it’s like you’re talking to a titanium wall. Denial feels like it’s an enemy, here, though I can’t tell if it’s from you or from someone else. Maybe it’s from both sides, but for different reasons? Either way it feels like you have a song to sing, and no one is letting you belt it out as freely as you want to - or rather, need to.

#46 Coming Apart

This is one of those cards that’s hard to listen to (not pun intended), but I feel as though it is exceptionally valid for you right now. Coming Apart is a sign that there’s something in our midst that we need to break away from. It could be that a promise has been made, but you find that your gut is telling you to break it for a greater purpose. Perhaps there’s a person in your life that has become toxic, and something is telling you to leave the situation before hell breaks loose. If something isn’t mutually beneficial, don’t waste anyone’s energy - especially yours. If someone or something seems to be slipping through your fingers, no matter what you do, let it happen. Everything has a season. Now is your time to align your life with your actions and beliefs.

#41 Unexpected Visitors (reversed)

Maybe you’ve heard some news recently, or even in the further past, or come into contact with someone that just wasn’t what you wanted it to be. You had your heart set, and now that you’ve been denied something you truly hoped for you aren’t so sure what you should put your faith in next. What we all need to remember, when this happens, is that sometimes getting the sense of - or flat out being told - “no” is for our greater interests in the full extent of our lives. No one likes being denied. We hated our parents for it, growing up, and now we have the Universe telling us what we can and cannot do sometimes. There are points when it’s okay to challenge what the Universe says - it is possible to prove nature wrong. But now is the time to accept, and allow ourselves to realise that sometimes a “no” now leaves room for a larger “yes” in the future.

#13 Solitude

I found it absolutely funny that I drew this card right after the previous one, considering their titles are perfect opposites of each other. And in drawing this card, the message it states coincides rather beautifully with the message of Unexpected Visitors. Now is the time to reflect inward, and take a step back from what has been troubling you. Now is the time to be still, and allow the Universe to wash away what is not meant to be. Give yourself peace by accepting that none of us are in complete control of our lives. We all have a greater purpose, even if the present time doesn’t give us a hint of our end result.

Four of Chalices and Ace of Swords

I believe that these two cards are one in the same. Four of Chalices speaks of renewal, while Ace of Swords tells of conquering something. I get the sense that there might be something in your past that has come to the forefront of your mind, or is working its way there, and you are ready to defeat whatever hold it has had over you since it left its mark. Don’t be afraid to raise your sword in battle. You are powerful, and your strength is great. Have no fear, when the time comes to defeat your own beast.

Eight of Swords

This card’s imagery is of a young man; he is trapped behind swords that block him from head to toe, and he covers his eyes with his own hand. There’s a possibility that you will stumble in your battle - the best of us often do. Don’t let your frustrations beat you into submission. Stand your ground, and keep your eyes ever forward. The gift of freedom when you reach the end wil be well worth the fight :)
