Wade sleeps with an army of nightlights littering his room, ranging from hello-kitty plug-ins to glowing transformer action figures. It’s not that he’s afraid of the dark, but they seem stave off the nightmares, sometimes just enough to get him through the night. Peter notices, of course, from the first time he visits the other man’s apartment, but there’s no judgement in the observation. He simply smiles, compliments the decor, and goes on his way.
Whenever Peter finds himself in a thrift store or a Walmart, he keeps an eye out for nightlights, grabbing them and slipping them into the other man’s bedroom without mention.
Of course Wade notices, so attuned to his environment that even the smallest changes flash neon in his head. He doesn’t comment, either, but he’ll stare at the new ones before trying to get some sleep, lets the thoughts of the not-so-sneaky Spider-man lull him into unconsciousness.
Not really a head canon and not really a drabble but I'm gonna try to do these little things daily because these two are fun to write and I've been wanting to get back into it.. so let’s go ;)
