For any barbecue, these Spicy Baked Beans are a great side dish. The smoky flavors, the heat from the jalapeos, and the sweetness of the molasses come together to make a dish that goes well with grilled meats. It's simple to make and tastes great!
Ingredients: 3 cans 15 oz each of navy beans, drained and rinsed. 1/2 cup ketchup. 1/4 cup molasses. 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed. 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. Salt and black pepper to taste. 1 small onion, finely diced. 1 jalapeo pepper, finely diced seeds removed for less heat. 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained navy beans, ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the beans are evenly coated. Stir in the diced onion, jalapeo pepper, and crumbled bacon. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed. Transfer the bean mixture to a baking dish, spreading it out evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the beans are hot and bubbly, and the top is caramelized. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional bacon if desired and serve hot. Enjoy your spicy baked beans with your favorite barbecue dishes!
