Dyslexia, why are you so mean to me?!?
I have been a recognized Dyslexic for as long as i can remember. I was first picked up on it age three (I know, pretty young - but that was only because my older sister has it and my mum then had me tested and it turned out I was too). Although I don't mind being dyslexic, its not like I can change it I do get annoyed by people suggestions that you can overcome it. It's all very well you guys have, and I know this is REALLY petty of me, but it sucks that I can't. I mention this because of the delightful event that has just unfolded this afternoon. Having spell checked an essay (which took about an hour for two pages) I hate spell checking, since September I have had to use a laptop in class because I get to use one in my exams (unlike the majority of people my spell check will be on - yes my spelling is that bad) I rememebered I have to learn some spelling for Classics, because apparenlty they can take marks off for them being wrong. I have just looked at some of the words and realized, I have already failed. I mean who in their right mind, dyslexic or not, would know how to spell words like "Cassivellaunus" or "Mandubracius"?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
So, I went on the internet to find some tips on how to spell, and I stumbled upon people's stories on how they beat dyslexic. I may be a bitch for saying this, but damn that depressed me further.
SO, to the world I cry, can some help me out?
