the episode opens up at the Covenhouse, in the courtyard Bonnie and Enzo practice hand to hand combat, Bonnie gets close to putting Enzo down on the ground but Enzo is too strong and trips her but catches her before she ends up on the floor , Enzo tells her "Well love you can at least say you are improving more on this than you ever did trying to play my guitar, he places her back on her feet, they stare lovingly into each others eyes , Bonnie playfully punches him and insists that she could have learned to play if Enzo wasn't a crappy teacher , he laughs it off and they passionately kiss , Enzo argues he isn't bad at teaching, Bonnie trips him and takes him down pinning him to the ground , Bonnie questions if a better teacher would let their guard down, Enzo rolls over with him now on top of her, they laugh and make out, they stop and head inside.

Mara is sleeping in her room, she dreams of digging two graves in the middle of the woods, she stops and looks around seeing something running through the woods , she then hears a sinister voice telling her "Make them flesh again", Mara turns back to look down at the graves only for two skeletons to grab and pull her down into the grave, she wakes up in a panic , she knocks on the door which is then opened by Alisha and Rachel, Mara tells them that she wants out of the room and shows them her anti magic shackles reminding them that can't make a run for it as she won't get far, Alisha and Rachel agree that she doesn't need to stay in the room,ara joins them.

In the kitchen , Lizzie and Josie feed from bloodbags from the fridge , they are joined by Mara, Alisha and Rachel, Mara asks why Lizzie and Josie are drinking blood, Alisha explains that both Lizzie and Josie were turned into vampires but they retained their witch powers , Mara shows her a bewildered and confused look and says "Vampires are real now as well, that's insane", Enzo and Bonnie enter the kitchen , Enzo points out he is also a vampire that's how he was able to survive Isaiah Harrow back in 1904, Davina enters the kitchen putting her phone in her jacket and tells them that Kol has been keeping tabs on the witch hunters and he says that they are heading up for something, Enzo tells them "If I was a betting man I would bet they are preparing a attack", Bonnie tells everyone to be ready.

At the train station , Xavier and Collins hoping to find clues to the mystery and connect it to the Harrow cult symbols but they are stopped by men in hazmat suits claiming the crime scene is quarantined off and dangerous, Xavier tells them they were the responding officers and first on the scene and they were checked out and they are fine , Xavier doesn't believe there's any sort of outbreak or potential airborne virus threat, the men still insist they leave and by government law they have to , Xavier and Collins leave.

Outside , Xavier and Collins agree that something is going on, Collins apologises for doubting him.

At the Covenhouse, Mara sits reading a spellbook, a dark figure appears behind her and wanders up behind her and leans down whispering in her ear "Make us flesh again", Mara jumps to her feet and turns around seeing no one, Bonnie asks if she's okay, Mara tells her that she is but she's going a little crazy being stuck inside and asks if she can go outside , Bonnie tells her that she can and decides to head outside with her.

Outside Alisha helps Lizzie and Josie bring in boxes of books , Xavier and Collins drive in and park their car, Bonnie and Mara see the car, Enzo stands on the steps watching , Xavier gets out of the car seeing Rachel, Xavier approaches her , Rachel asks how he found her , Xavier tells her he saw her and one of her friends the other night , Xavier wants answers , Rachel apologises for not reaching out , Xavier asks if she knows the history of this residence, Bonnie goes over to them and tells him she is the owner , Xavier shares that the estate was once Vance Harrow's estate the son of Isaiah Harrow, Rachel wants to speak with him in private, Bonnie tells him that she opened the place up and uses it to help people and people who are lost trying to find their way in the world , Xavier tells them the Harrow's has cults operatingt in most states , Bonnie tells him they aren't a cult, Rachel promises to explain , Xavier crosses his arms , Rachel says she is a witch and this is a Covenhouse now, Xavier admits he knows something is going on from the dead people in the train and the Harrow cult stuff , Rachel promises to tell Xavier everything and that she joined the Coven to learn how to control her powers, Bonnie looks around but doesn't see Mara , she and Enzo go off looking for Mara.

In a flashback at Harvard University a few years ago, Rachel stays behind after hours to mop the corridors, Rachel gets a call from Xavier, they make plans to go hiking and camping, they flirt with each other and exchange I love yous before Rachel ends the call and continues mopping the hallways, just as Rachel finishes up , she hears the front entrance doors open, Rachel makes her way there to be startled by armed men with crossbows , one of them asks her name , Rachel tells them her name and then she is shot with multiple arrows in her chest and shoulder, just as the men reload, Rachel uses her witch powers for the first time and sets the men on fire , Rachel freaks out as the fire quickly spreads and burns out of control, Rachel crawls trying to escape , Bonnie pulls her out of the building, a frantic and erratic Rachel tells her that she started the fire with her mind, Bonnie tries ro calm her down and helps her into a car and they drive off, while driving away , Bonnie tells Rachel that shes a witch, Bonnie tells her that they are gonna get help with those arrows and they will save her life.

Back to present day, inside the Covenhouse, Rachel says that she had no idea she was a witch until accidently setting fire to the university , Xavier tells her that he and everyone else thought she was dead and she was a missing persons case , Rachel again apologises for not reaching out to him, Xavier holds her hands and tells her that he forgives her, Xavier notices Rachel is still wearing the necklace he got for her, Xavier asks if there was ever anyone else , Rachel shakes her head and tells him no, they hug , Rachel suggests he gets out of investing this case because he could get hurt, Xavier tells her that he can't do that, he's in as deep as he can be which means he can't turn back.

In the woods, Bonnie and Enzo search around the woods for Mara , they call out seversl times but no response.

At a diner, Lizzie and Josie talk about Mara being part of their coven now, Lizzie expresses annoyance and jealousy over the attention Mara is getting , Josie brings up the last mysterious person whose origins are in question was Landon Kirby , Lizzie asks if she thinks Mara could be connected to Malivore , Josie doesn't think so and tells her that she was reminding her that they have been in this position before and they misjudged Landon , Lizzie gets a text message warning them that they are being watched and they need to leave the diner , Lizzie shows her the text mostly thinking it's a joke , Josie looks around and notices several people watching them , Josie asks who sent them the text , Lizzie tells her it's a unknown caller , Josie tells her that they should go, they rush out with a group of men and two women in hoods follow close behind.

Outside Lizzie and Josie walk while Lizzie texts Rachel and Alisha, they notice they are being followed and cut through a alleyway and into a car park but they end up being surrounded.

In the woods , Bonnie and Enzo find the unmarked graves of Vance Harrow and his wife Patricia dug up with their bones missing , Enzo says they need to find Mara now.

In the car park , Lizzie and Josie use their magic to knock out some of the hunters with energy blasts , Alisha , Rachel and Xavier arrive, Xavier fires his gun in the air which causes the hunters to retreat, Collins gets off the phone and then shoots Xavier in the chest , Collins' eyes turn white and he begins chanting , Collins aims for the head but Alisha and Rachel beat him down and knock him unconscious, they get the bullet out and get in the car , Rachel tries to stop the bleeding as they drive off.

In the woods , Mara enters a cabin surrounded by animal bones , Mara's eyes are white as she organises the bones of Vance and Patricia Harrow put in a circle, Mara begins a incantation and slashes her hand with a knife , her blood is black coloured , she lets the blood drip onto the bones, Bonnie and Enzo arrive at the cabin and find Mara just as the bones turn to dust and fade away, Mara turns to them with blood coming from her nose and mouth , she collapses with Enzo and Bonnie catching her in their arms, she returns to normal and with no memory of what she has done.

In the woods , Vance and Patricia Harrow's bones reappear in their graves reassembled and then begin to come alive and regrow skin until they are fully formed flesh , they climb out of their graves.

At the Covenhouse, Lizzie and Josie help Xavier and use magic to heal his wound , Alisha and Rachel lock Collins on a empty room, Collins bangs on the door repeatedly shouting in a unknown language, Rachel rushes back to Xavier's side and helps him to his feet, Xavier asks what is going on with Collins, Rachel tells him they have no idea but they will figure it out and then asks him if he's okay, Xavier tells her he will be fine , they share a passionate kiss, moments later Enzo and Bonnie return with Mara, Mara suggests she be locked up and restrained and that it is the best way to keep everyone safe, they agree and lock her in her room with her wearing anti magic shackles.

Bonnie and Enzo stand on a balcony , they both suspect that Vance and Patricia Harrow have been brought back to life and that they will be immediate threats to the coven.
