    “ ... What are you doing ? ”  HE INQUIRES, ALBEIT RHETORIC. the monster slain moments prior hadn’t knocked him about quite hard enough to render him blind, nor stupid, although it certainly had packed  a greater punch  (  or, err ...  slash, with a claw  )  than he’d expected. to make things worse, a certain SOLDIER had witnessed the whole endeavour;  for whatever reason, decided to partake in the action. perhaps a better question would have been  ‘  why are you helping me ? ’,  but roche doesn’t seem the rational type, so cloud doesn’t bother with rational questions. 

    at least, that’s how the bloody and dishevelled mercenary justifies how the words that pass his lips come out fumbled  &  awkward;  quite unlike the stoic, together front he prefers to uphold. with a quiet wince, he lifts a leather-clad hand and bats at the other’s too-close hands. the vague similarities in their attire conjures a queasiness in his gut, but it’s nothing too unfamiliar to him by now.  ‘ we’re  nothing  alike. ’  cloud passively reminds himself, lips pursed and bright eyes fixing in on roche’s. it’s true that this guy is unlike the usual shinra pawns he’s so used to fighting, but he’s made it clear that he's an enemy nonetheless.  ‘ . . . right ? ’

SOLDIERs are infuriating. 

Tseng straddles Roche’s stomach. He looks like a god, splayed out beneath him with that thick blond hair fanned out like a halo. Most of the pieces of his uniform are strewn about the room, along with Tseng’s jacket and tie. Roche is left shirtless and Tseng has his gloved fingers spread open on heated skin.

The SOLDIER is as one would expect; muscular and well built, and while Tseng already knew as much, it still manages to further vex him. Mako enhanced and utterly beautiful, he hates that he is attracted to him at all - and the extent of it is maddening. 

SOLDIERs are infuriating.
