HELP
okay so I'm doing an internship under a research scholar who has a thick malayali accent. I've always had the habit of picking up other people's accents and body language and behaviour a lot more than others. I don't want her to thick I'm mocking or imitating her. It is so hard that I have to concentrate myself with so much difficulty just to not fo that. I do this with almost everyone i know or work with closely. idk how to handle this. it looked like a gift but i don't want other's to judge me. I do it subconsciously btw. and even in my mind voice im thinking in that accent. even right now. and im also typing in that particular speech pattern.
Ever since I read that funny meta post about Vader’s overtly-formal and over-the-top speech pattern and diction I’ve been wondering about if ghost!Anakin unintentionally spoke like he did in his Vader days and if it took a while to get rid off it since it was already a habit he maintained over 2 decades. I think hearing Anakin talk in his normal voice with the Vader-esque diction popping out would be funny as hell to me lmao

I love your fic Speech pattern so much!!! Do you have a schedule for it? Are the eridians going to discover that Grace was forced on the ship before they find out he’s an adult? Are we going to get more of Adrien’s POV?
