Odd Switch Out AU;

“Geir!!!” Crescent Sky frantically searched the wreckage of the city long after a battle. The mecha-- another magician’s robot-- had sent some kind of blast that had hit Geir straight in the chest. Huge chunks of buildings had been blown to bits, and hundreds of people were missing by the time that robot was defeated. Amongst them, Crescent Sky learned, was Geir. No one had seen whether or not he had dodged the blast, or if he had been hit, where he had landed. There was a list of missing people being found, but their memories had been scrambled with severe cases of head trauma. She didn’t want to think of the damage her loved one may have. “Damn it all,” she cursed, panic forcing her to keep moving past the destruction. “GEIR! GEIR ANSWER ME DAMN IT!” Her voice broke, and an intrusive thought forced her to start shouting louder and more frantically. What if the blast had killed him? “GEIR!!!”

Crescent Sky didn’t even blink when Geir actually ended up joining her on her self-proclaimed-bed she had made out of tarps and old mattresses from an abandoned warehouse. Granted, she hadn’t expected him to show up at all, let alone practically snuggle up to her smaller frame. With the datapad in one hand, she set it down on a nearby box, and wrapped her arms around the bigger frame and nuzzled into him.“What’s wrong?”

send ⚠ to pick up/carry my muse
“Gah!!” Crescent Sky yelped and quickly clung to Geir as soon as her feet lifted off the ground. Why he picked her up, she’d never figure it out. But her cheeks lit up in a blush, and she pouted at him. “Geir, Geir why?” She asked, the blush growing darker. “This is unnecessary.”

Crescent Sky hated this damn virus. It was hard enough trying to differentiate memory for reality-- but on top of that, it made every damn thing so freaking cold. The cold made her sleepy, and that only worsened her attempts at trying to differentiate the memories and the things happening around. The mechanics had said that letting the virus run its course was best, and left her with several heaters running by her cradle to try and keep her joints from freezing up.Crescent Sky barely heard the door to the repair bay open, but when she looked, for a moment she saw a human from her childhood standing there instead of Geir, and her heart ached. “Jar...ed...” she murmured softly, giving a shake of her head. The memory faded, and Geir took the boys place. “Geir...? What are you doing here?”

From that ask meme "Quiet Me"
Leave a “Quite Me” in my ask, and I’ll write a drabble about my character trying to calm yours down [be it from crying, from lashing out, feel free to specify.]
@spearbot
Crescent Sky had literally watched Geir take off from his Cradle and take off outside. She had only come into the room to check up on everyone, and maybe grab her book to keep writing when he left.He must have had another nightmare. Crescent Sky took off after him, Moon Flight already pulling out of the holding bay and taking off after the flyer.She must have chased him for hours, watching, tracking, running as hard as her frame would allow, and even then she would run harder and keep going. It was only when Geir finally had to land that she slowed and crept up behind him slowly. She could pick up the sobbing, and the muttering apologies over and over to Elaine and others as she stepped closer.She knew nightmares like this, and moments like this. She had been in Geir's shoes more often than she could remember, but she would stand beside the shaking mech, watch him with a heavy ache in her chest, and rest her hand on his back as he continued to work himself through the moment."Don't hold it in," she murmured when he tensed up and tried to reign himself in. "When you're ready, I'm here to listen..."

Crescent Sky sputtered, cheeks flushing brightly as she slowly processed what was happening. It was not long after she had sent him one... Oh, Deities. “Oh. Hi.” Crescent Sky exe. has crashed, what are words?
((Just as a starter to get me back in the RPing groove, from the "the last of us" post)) Geir: "I've lost people too."
“the last of us” inspired sentence starters
@spearbot
“Geir...” This was not how Crescent Sky wanted the conversation to go. But she also knew this was progress, probably the kind of growth that would lead to a better, stronger friendship. But that didn’t make the empty ache she was feeling, nor the one she figured Geir had lessened.“I’m sorry, losing people close to you is never easy..."
