Me: you’re gonna regret that 😅

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been spending down time at work and in the evenings writing letters to underrepresented voters through an organization called Vote Forward. Handwritten letters have been shown to increase voter turn out more than other methods.

I just finished 100 letters, going out to registered voters in Georgia and Texas, encouraging them to vote in the upcoming election and helping them find resources. It feels odd to be proud of such a small number. Some volunteers have written hundreds if not thousands of letters to voters across the country.

My home state might go blue for the first time in my life and I’ll be damned if I don’t help make that happen. I might only convince one person to vote, but it matters that I tried.
