(to top anon) I'm not sure about dark comedy, but it is more along the lines of psychological thriller (or maybe thriller isn't the right word for it idk). Whereas the manga focuses more on just the plot, I'd argue that the anime adds in a lot of emotional layers that would earn it the angst label lol. Take all the episodes where major character deaths happen for example cough EP 25 cough cough cries
