because it butchered my fave book imo, stuff i cared about was written out of the story while things like a shrunken head were written in, the werewolf was illogically designed and worse than dw's werewolf which really speaks volumes, it marked a significant turn in the movies towards "best friends harry/hermione and that other guy", etc

I’ve wanted to watch this since day one but I can’t take too much gore.. :(
It's really interesting. The plot is amazing. But if you can't take gore, then it's best to not watch. I got up to episode 4 before starting to feel sick. It's mostly the crime scenes. :(

Yes D: Hopefully during your vacation time, you can watch it then. I've been putting off watching it, and just using gifs as a gateway into the fandom xD I sort of know what's going on without actually watching the shows. But when you have time, watch it! I heard it's good to start during the 9th doctor. So that sort of helps in minimizing the doctor who marathon. :o Though...the newer versions are still 6-7 seasons. :I
