Chapter 4

He let the force guide him sensing the cold currents, but the strikes had him retreating as fast as his legs could carry him. Then the force showed him not to resist the retreat but to embrace it. Time slowed down, he took a controlled step back, allowing his backside to drop to the ground, as if he’d fallen, dropping his sword on the ground behind him. He saw Anakin step toward him with a high strike, aimed towards his head, but Obi-Wan continued on a backwards roll, putting his foot on Anakin’s stomach as he grabbed a handful of his robes. In a swirl of cream, tan and brown robes, he used the momentum of his fall to throw Anakin behind him, his wooden sword flailing as he landed flat on his back. Before the move even registered, Obi-Wan was on top of him, straddling his hips and pinning his right shoulder to the ground with his forearm. His wooden sword was in his hand, at Anakin’s neck. 

For a second Anakin couldn’t comprehend what had happened, but somehow Obi-Wan was on top of him. He was breathing hard, and glowing gloriously in the force. His smile beaming at Anakin who lay stunned. His anger and focus melted away as he felt his friend’s joy and warmth. From his vantage point underneath him, he saw his chiseled chin and perfect teeth, in a wide grin. His face was rosy and his skin was flushed down to his neck.  Anakin could feel himself flush, and his mouth go dry… he swallowed hard.

I dare not color it. My confidence doesn’t extend very far, but I do like this one. Especially since I don’t do action scenes but it was just so well written and I had to try and gush over it. Get used to it Anakin! Sparing is one of Obi-wan’s and your main love language. Books make it sound like the force is an obsessive simp for it. But ain’t we all? Like damn!

I needed practice drawing combat attacks, and he needed a sparing buddy, so it all worked out!

Slayer Sans! Is one of my FIRST and oldest sans ocs. He needed some well-deserved attention after so many years. It's nice to draw him again.
