blind hen is doing well enough to throw fits and do normal chicken things now. shes retained just a LITTLE bit of sight but I think its more of a struggle because she tries to rely on her faulty eyesight instead of trying to locate things blind. (she was doing better with finding food and stuff before she opened her eyes) we’ve got a shelter on the way and she’ll be back to being an outdoor hen soon. gonna take her remaining sister and have them nest together to keep company
I dont want to dismiss or invalidate the troubles of those who have had their school/workplace shut down but as someone who will have to continue to work for the foreseeable future, watching this is making me anxious
I keep flip flopping between "I hope my place doesnt shut down because I don't want to lose my income" and "PLEASE let us drop for a couple of weeks at least I'm so desperate for rest"
I hope this isnt hypocritical of me to say but like
It makes me real uncomfortable when people come in and call the people from homeless/rougher areas "trash". Like dont get me wrong, theyre annoying and hard to deal with, and the worst of them are dangerous. But they're still people? And I feel like they shouldnt be talked about in the same tone as like... A wild animal? Less than human?
When I put it in words it sounds obvious to me. Treat people like people, even if they tend to be people you hate. But if I say it out loud here, *I'm* the weird one.
Hi I'm Wendi and I draw really good character art on scrap pieces of printer paper like a fucking mess
