god i can just imagine how bittersweet it is during canon for them. they’re still trapped but they’re not fighting constantly anymore, they’re not hearing the same lines, they’re out of the house and in the sun…. and yet they’ve bound themselves to the favor tree, never straying from their place in the universe. so what else is there to do but try to remember? and remember and remember…
it’s also not lost on me that they refer to the party with their descriptions like in sasasap too. i figure it’s a way to distance themselves from them but do you think they have to stop themselves from shouting their names… do you think they fear forgetting again…. augh
