Shot today around the new studio space.... which is changing daily, nearly. Just showing off the space, and the amazing light!

The light around here is amazing, including our very own, constant faux-sunset...We face East! This was shot around 5-6pm, so just lots of bouncey light from the alleyway; the super-soft-but shapely shadows that are cast from the large white wallpiece-something you’ll see re-purposed again and again, in a variety of sets, ‘cookies’, abstraction tools, and colors for a while to come! So much we can do with that one prop! The beds ‘headboard’ mimics this effect and will also make for some interesting uses around the studio; the bed is set long-ways against the wall, which buys a few more square feet for shooting it, and angles it a bit more appropriately to both composition and light-fall. When the winter nights give way to more sprightly, open-window nights, the bed will move closer to the windows, opening up the angled wall as our main white wall! We do still have a ‘white wall’ area, it’s just filled with furniture in most of our shots from today! We’ll shoot some to illustrate it upcoming...
I’ve set every square inch of the natural light space- all it’s interesting little nooks and crannies, and architectural details, mixed with the ability to close one, or all of the windows soft, grey velvet curtains, and you really have an endless amounts of possibilities! We’ll also be shooting some of the pretty, contrasty morning light and all the lovely shapes it creates.
