Get Ready for SpaceSlog: A Unique Sci-Fi Spaceship Sim Game
SpaceSlog is a tough sci-fi spaceship sim game due to make its way onto Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Thanks to the creative minds at Produno Games Studios. Due to make its way onto Steam Early Access. Today, we are eager to announce Produno's first game, SpaceSlog. It’s a challenging sci-fi spaceship sim that focuses on shipbuilding, crew interactions, and exploration. This title is fully self-funded and mostly developed by one dedicated person who’s been working part-time on it for the past five years. Here’s a bit about why I decided to create SpaceSlog. While offering plans to be in early access on Linux until roughly February 2026, starting in 2025. Produno Games Studios always loved the original X-COM. Spending hours playing it on my PS1, much to my parents' annoyance. But always wanted more from the titles they played. With more powerful computers now, this is the title they always dreamed of making possible. Rimworld by Tynan have come close. Having backed it on Kickstarter as soon as it was out, and while it’s excellent, it still wasn’t perfect. Then they tried Starship Theory. The ideas were great, but the execution left players wanting more.
SpaceSlog Announce Trailer
By merging elements from Rimworld and Starship Theory, along with some tweaks, it was time to create a title closer to ideal dream. Other games like Star Command, Space Haven, and FTL also inspired me, but none hit the mark. So, SpaceSlog was born, the ultimate mashup of Rimworld, Starship Theory, X-COM, and other great titles. TV shows like Firefly, Stargate Universe, The Expanse, and Battlestar Galactica also inspired it. About SpaceSlog Your capital ship gets attacked by an unknown entity, but some survivors escape in a small ship. Alone, hungry, and lost in space, you must explore the cosmos and guide them to safety.

Just make sure you have enough supplies to keep everything running smoothly. Think carefully about where you place doors and power systems to avoid problems during breaches or other hazards. Each playthrough features a procedurally generated galaxy, making exploration key to survival. Don’t stay in one place too long, or your crew might not make it. Your crew’s needs and moods are crucial. If they’re not happy, they might rebel or stop working. Keep them fed and hydrated, and choose your captain wisely to maintain order. SpaceSlog sci-fi spaceship sim also supports extensive modding. With all data in JSON files, it’s easy to tweak existing content or add new features. The creator has spent the last decade developing a popular free mod for Mount&Blade Warband called A World of Ice and Fire, so you can trust in their dedication and commitment to finishing SpaceSlog.
