“I’m no expert, but I think that royal liked you, princess,” Shiro says, low enough that only she would be able to hear him.

The look he receives in return is wilting, though the full effect is somewhat dimmed by the fact that Allura’s still wearing the remnants of a mission gone wrong. Well, she classifies it as wrong--the planet they’d visited had a prince who fancied her a great deal, hence the truly ridiculous amount of golden ornaments, silks, and chains layered around her neck. Regardless, Shiro still thinks it was pretty damn funny.

“This is not funny, my very stupid paladin. The prince is an adult Vagnarith--which means his natural poison is at full potency! He attempted to kiss me! I almost died,” she hisses in reply, tone far from the composed princess that had introduced herself to the prince no more than two hours ago.

“Please, princess, no one’s ever died from a little TLC.” 

“I do not know what that means, but I assume it is completely inane, given the utterly stupid smile on your face.”

Shiro’s trying so, so hard not to giggle. “‘Tender loving care.”
