Speak Low If You Speak Love has recently sat down with Ally Newbold of Space Jam Sessions to record an acoustic version of “Knots.” You can watch the session after the cut. 

Dryjacket does a stripped down acoustic version of “Newton Colony” on Space Jam Session’s latest video. These South Jersey natives are definitely the reason I wanted to to a Philly AREA site because while they do not reside in Philadelphia, proper, their band is still fucking awesome and I’d be remised to pass them over just because they’re not a group that lives in town. With that out of the way, there are so many aspects about this song that are so great, but I’m going to try and keep it short so you can get right to watching! The song first and foremost has really catchy and complex guitar riffs that come off in a really beautiful way. The vocals are really heartfelt but when both members harmonize together it brings the song to a whole new level! “Everyone’s wondering how troubling it has been needing you” is an awesome example of how great the lyrics are! The intermittent guitar solos an stops in the music, again, bring it to a whole other level. All in all, it’s a killer song by a fucking incredible band! Press play and get into these guys, now!
