"Where did she go?" She murmured softly of her one immortal child. To cover her moment of disquiet, she looked back at him, "But isn’t space higher? I wouldn’t peg you for being afraid of heights."

"The guardian." She looked at him, a bit confused - they've known each other for years now, did he have amnesia? "Annie. Solus, did something happen to you?" Now that she looked closer, she realized he did look a little different than before.

Annamore raised an eyebrow at the vampire whispering to the young, newly turned vampire that shared the same name as her late husband - it was one of Sula's adopted brood, although, to her surprise, she found her no longer young. "Hey, he wasn't all violent and bad tempered. Didn't he used to babysit for you?" The guardian countered, good naturedly, before waving for Solus to follow her away, "Besides, isn't it bad luck to speak ill of the dead? Or is that not a vampire thing? Can never keep that straight."

Her eyebrows settled low over her eyes, shrouding the sad expression in them, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ever fall in love again. But if you want to be rid of my feelings, and yours, I could go back to the castle and try to stay away. Maybe with enough time, the feelings would fade." She managed a faint smile as she met his eyes, still a bit startled with how much they reminded her of the one she'd considered her Solus. "I'll accept whatever you want." She promised, even though the promise hurt her as much as the look on his face did.

Her arms slipped around his neck and she pulled herself closer to him as she deepened the kiss, nearly ending up in his lap, all else forgotten except for the fact that he came back to her. And he wanted this. 

"Be careful out there, all right? And come back. I'm only loaning this to you. I expect it back, when you're done searching, all right?" She met his eyes, hers backlit with concern, "Although, if you want to get yourself into danger every now and then so I can check on you, I suppose you can."

"Now get your ass through this portal before I bite you or something, okay?" She threatened, although she figured he had enough self-preservation instinct to not continue arguing. 

"I’ll go any direction I need to, if in the end you can join me again." She let her hand brush against his, as light as a breath, before pulling it back. No need to make it worse on either of them. She met his eyes again, offering up a sweet, patient smile, before humming a song to him, older than he was, yet it was a song woven with his history. A parting gift, before she had to leave again, and an affirmation of her undying love.
