PDWT stands for “Please Don’t Write This.” It’s kind of like the author equivalent of “Please Don’t Read This,” except for the fact that it’s already too late, because the work has already been published.

It’s another way of saying: “Why in the world did I write this?” reserved for things that the author thinks were too cursed to deserve to be written in the first place. It can be used both in a joking manner or a light admonishment. 

It was a term that was 100% invented for M&M’s March Madness, a yearly-ish event in which I, and any friends I could convince, would write fic about M&Ms. (I don’t really know how to explain this, so… just go with it).

1) How long have you been reading fic?

uh... ten years, i think?

mostly phone, nowadays. sometimes my laptop.

my five most recent fandom ao3 tabs on my phone are: shadowhunters, miraculous ladybug, batman, xmen evolution, and leverage.

5) How long are the fics you read?

usually somewhere between 0-75k, but i’ll read longer fic on occasion. 

6) Do you comment or leave kudos?

i tend to leave kudos on things i finish. i comment when it’s really good and/or i have the energy to do so (and/or it’s comment november).

7) We’ve all got those fics that we reread over and over again. Name 5 of your favorite fics of all time.

I like both canon-setting works and AUs. I especially love post-canon settings (so things like third year!First Years or College/University AUs). I hope this helped (but feel free to ask more questions if you need to!)

This is from a BokuAka fic that I’ve been working on since the beginning of the year. 

None of my current WIPs have “beautiful,” but I did manage to find a sentence in an unposted SASO fill from last year: 

She’s had people tell her she’s pretty and beautiful and sexy and smart and so much more. But no comment has ever left her breathless, until now.

This is from a Karasuno third years friendship fic that I still haven’t posted on AO3 (although, it’s on the SASO DW… somewhere). 

Art would definitely count for MMMM18!! I’m just going to quote from our FAQ (which I spent way too long writing last year considering the size of the event):

What’s considered an M&Ms fanwork?

Our definition is pretty loose – we want to make it as easy as possible for people to participate… [cut for length]

You can either draw the M&Ms characters themselves or draw art for any fandom as long as you somehow link it to M&Ms. Additionally, if you want to make art out of M&Ms themselves, that would be awesome too!

Every year I participate in M&M’s March Madness, which is a low stakes event where I (and whomever I manage to convince to participate) challenge ourselves to write weird and wonderful fic about M&Ms. (#NotSponsored)

I have plans to return to the red/yellow universe, but they’ll probably not be the main focus of this year’s fic. (I also have plans for weird, experimental, crossover bodyswap fic, if I ever get to it).
