the room was quiet, almost eerily so, because the blizzard outside. hushed whispers under the deep crashes of nature wreaking havoc on the world around them and kane was CALM. the book he was reading held no more interest to him as he closed it, putting it aside while his hand reaches into his pocket. fingers wrapping gently around the small plotted pant hidden deep in the fabric of his clothing, ‘ hello, piccolo. how are you doing? ’ he whispered softly to the flower, spare hand reaching up  to gently touch at the petals. 

            “      this all seems like one terrible nightmare, doesn’t it ?       “ pollux said, swaddled in his fur robes. just as the prince was starting to think that norden wasn’t as bad as he initially thought, of course, it was the perfect time for every citizen to be snowed in. he was starting to despise the north.

The bedroll was not the most comfortable sleeping arrangement in the world, but with limited beds available, it would serve his purpose. Adrian’s concern was less to do with the bedding and more to do with just how crowded the infirmary was. “I have never really been at ease in crowds,” He spoke aloud to whoever was close enough to hear. “But I know that I definitely will not get any sleep tonight. In a room with this many people, how many do you think snore?”

A blizzard. Gods, there were few things Morrigan hated more whilst living in Norden but the ferocious snow storms certainly took the top spot. Being in the very infirmary that had been her domain for the past eight years felt comforting, even if the woman technically no longer officially worked here. Despite that, it was easy for her to come and ease the heavy influx of people. She knew ever nook and cranny and crevice of the infirmary, and was determined to make sure everyone got through this blizzard as comfortably as possible. “Now,” She said to the next person to filter through the door. “Do you need any help, or would you rather find your own way around?”

Unfurling his bedroll in a quieter corner of the infirmary, Leo looks up to see someone’s approach and immediately shakes his head. “I hope you’re not coming over here to try and claim a spot. This room is crowded enough as it is and I deliberately chose this corner for the most amount of peace I can hope to get.”

Talia and Pollux had been walking back from their little adventure around the outside grounds of the castle when they heard the guard’s armor clanking towards them. She grabbed his hand, pushing him into the nearest door. “shh!” she responded before closing it and looking at the guards that approached. “Your grace” they both half bowed before continuing, “there is a storm coming quickly. we were instructed to place you in the closet room and lock the doors.” Talia’s eyes gravitated towards the nearest window. it would be dark soon. And once the moon rose...“Very well...as long as it’s only for a few hours. No more than 2.” she said and went into the pantry, heating the doors lock behind her. “Okay..they are gone Polly.” she called out as she looked around the dim lighted room. “If you jump out and scare me I’ll hit you with one of these baguettes!”
