there’s a certain sense of pride in knowing her sister had gotten better at looking after herself. it’s only natural since she’s long grown past being a little child. however, as scarce as these moments have become, every now and then yang finds herself cleaning after the other. which is fine, really—— she doesn’t mind it at all. so here she is, barging in with ruby’s key to retrieve the cookies ruby had forgotten. it is only halfway through getting the container emptied out that she notices a very pretty, ethereal fox lounging by the living room.
‘ oh hey, almost didn’t see you there. did you know you blend in with the cushions really well ? haha ! oh man, i had no idea rubes has a fox for roommate. hiiii, how’re you ? ’ she proceeds to kneel in front of said fox, reaching with her left hand to hopefully pet it. however, it got up and disappeared into the spare bedroom. yang sighed in defeat.
‘ huh, maybe they’re not fond of strangers? way to go. . . ’

orianna sets off for the chanterelle club in the afternoon, fully expecting to walk into something akin to piltover’s parlor houses — ornate buildings where the city’s rich and otherwise affluent gathered for tea, and to discuss... whatever piltovan high society discussed. she’d not had the opportunity to ingratiate herself before moving to zaun with her father.
the establishment’s excessive exterior belies a slightly more humble interior. people sit about, smoking and swirling drinks in little glasses and talking amongst themselves. it’s as if piltover’s affluence has taken over a zaunite tavern.
the ball hovers close as orianna approaches the bar. the bartender is pleasant, and helps her navigate the menu to a drink that might be to her tastes. she decides to give it a try. it’s fruity, and sweet. even with her metallic organs, alcohol’s accompanying burn going down is unmistakable.
orianna’s attention is drawn away from her tiny glass, however, when she takes notice of a woman a ways down at the bar. she is beautiful, but what enraptures orianna most is that this woman is possessed of vulpine ears and a tail. santangelo’s field journal comes to mind, and her curiosity gets the best of her.
her hunch could be wrong, of course; what are the odds that someone else from runeterra had ended up here?

|| █ ▌— those certainly were some distinctive ears. satan can’t help but feel curious, even as he contemplates his own stagnant form, already missing being able to show off his own inhuman features. not that it matters much, here. it isn’t as though he’d show it off in this world of humans.
or mostly humans. he can’t help but look at her in puzzlement, in a way he can only hope isn’t rudely. he tries to be somewhat subtle, but ultimately the curiosity gets the better of him. ❝ you have a tail--several tails? amazing! ❞
hi i have another ahri question :pleading: given that she has a lot of latent foxy abilities that are kinda potent even tho mostly personal/plotted, i was wondering if she would still qualify for a sage. shes old and highly magical, and could def, say, throw a ball of fire instead of just how her fox fire works in game, but aside from being powerful as a mage, she does only have 4 active abilities and one passive. Mostly I ask cause I think it'd be cool for her to have Lumen or Tenebrae ;-;

all characters are able to gain a sage if they feel their abilities are lacking; however, they would only begin to unlock abilities after their original abilities are unlocked. so you would need to rank up in order to reach any sage powers and you will not receive any sage powers before that rank.
in the case of ahri, each ability is a different manipulation - so you would need to list out four abilities. the passive, however, would not count as a separate ability since it’s tied in with ahri’s other skills. so after you receive enough rank-ups to get those four abilities, only then would you be able to earn sage abilities.
long example: let’s say you do not take any weapons at any rank up. you also take the lumen sage.
you received your fox-fire and your passive to start off. at commoner rank, you do not receive any abilities. at magician rank which grants you two powers, you receive your orb of deception and charm. at spellcaster rank, you receive your spirit rush.
you would only be able to get two ranks worth of sage skills: sorcerer (prism sword and twin wave) and mage (judgment). you would not be allowed to receive any prior abilities.

Can I ask you a question?” Actually, there’s more than a few questions that girl would like to ask stranger— namely, she’s got at least a few about their surroundings, but there’s also a matter of the ears and tails that adorns her figure. Not a matter of curiosity in that case, they just look fluffy, and she is a very hands on person ( so okay, maybe she lied, because Ahiru is admittedly a little curious to know if that’s true, but that’s not really the most pressing issue here ). “I— I don’t wanna bother you or anything, so if you’re busy I’ll ask someone else!”
