Having very vast mood swings is crazy cause one day i can be a very devout spiritualist and the next day I can be arguing about how I dont understand it
One day I can talk about how beautiful the world is and the next argue about how I should have the right to suicide (these aren't exclusive to each other, its just the outlook I'm trying to emphasize the difference between lol)
My people and I have had a mild convergence, a merging if you will
However I'm now stuck in the juxtaposition of reigniting their individual flames or accepting and rejoicing or togetherness
Both sound like good ideas
And with the way our collective works, we don't really have seperate opinions
I think I'll just have whatever happens happen, the future is looking bright for us
Kind of despise the fact I've grown up in a western style island who's educational standard was dictated by people who think our culture and society is lesser
"Hey kids do you want to learn about your culture and people? Well boy oh boy I've got a gift for you... Guam History and CHamoru are now required classes!"
"What's this? They're poorly audited?"
"What's this? The curriculum's are very dependent on the teachers and aren't standard through your DOE?"
"What's this? CHamoru used to be integrated into all of the classes but because of the US government in the 70s, that program was halted and your taught only in English?"
I wish for the day that we can have ESL classes for students who only know CHamoru... I wish for the day that CHamoru slang and sayings were implemented into common educational language... I hail the day we get our culture back for everyone, not just those who have the resources to educate themselves outside of school.
