As the boys busied themselves with trying to fish and gather food for the family this way, Méns and Bálanos tried mostly to keep everything working with their children. Méns even had to stop work on their shelter to teach his daughter about glory, because his wife was too busy with the babies.

They know what they've done. This household is busy enough!

The wild horse that they accidentally adopted, had a foal with the stallion they had gotten from Oréktos. Because this household wasn't busy enough already after all, it seems.

While the shelter was finally finished enough for the married couple to enjoy a little privacy and intimacy, Iós was still busy thinking about the future. Starting a Kóryos was a big responsibility, but it seemed more necessary by the minute. They needed the marauding warband to take food, tools and valuables from other, more successful tribes, but he was sure he wasn't ready just yet. It seemed like a terribly hard thing to do by yourself.

As the weather got slightly milder, Méns figured that the time had come to really get some building going. Helped by his and his wife's children, he gathered as much as he could, as quickly as he could. He was aware, however, that the shore they had landed on wasn't perfect. The vegetation was already starting to succumb to the unusually cold temperatures and he formulated a daring plan.

As soon as the tribe would manage to scrounge up enough food, and the children were slightly older, they would move back to the Northwest, towards lands which were harsher, where the plants would keep growing even in this weather. Not that they weren't trying to grow food.
