I'm actually really busy today so that's why I didn't write as much today compared to yesterday. Sorry. Today was the first day of track and I had to work on a project with my friend after track. And work on that project some more when I got home. And I didn't finish until like 9:30. And I still have to study for a test on Wednesday. ._. And tomorrow, I'm even busier. So don't expect me to post anything tomorrow. orz I'm sorry guys.
So yesterday, I talked about how awesome Vampire Weekend and how I couldn't choose between which song to put up. Today, it's my favorite song from Vampire Weekend's second album,Contra. Even for today's SOTD, I couldn't decide what song to do. orz It was either "Horchata" or "White Day". And I finally chose "Horchata".
I totally understand why Vampire Weekend put this song first on their album. It's just so catchy. Like, so catchy. ._. I really love the drums in this songand the airy bongo-ish beats... Like those bass-ish beats. And the marimba or whatever. It's so exotic. But so catchy. And it matches the lyrics, as well as the song title. I just. Can't. Such a good song. I don't really know how else to explain it (because i suck at explaining. ive already established this.). The beats are all really upbeat and happy-feeling and just...bright and happy. ._. (yeah. you see what i mean by unable to explain for my life?)
Alright. So actually, this whole album was just awesome. Like, pure awesomeness. Just like Vampire Weekend's first self-titled album. Why are all their songs so good? Why? I don't understand (still). I seriously could listen to them forever. Their albums are so rare in the sense that I actually love all the songs on each one. I don't think I've ever come across that for an English album (because ive found some kpop albums that are pretty good ._. ). Honestly, I just can't get over Vampire Weekend. Why did I get into them before when I first found them? I don't understand myself. :p
Anyway, sadly, that's all I have time to write tonight.
If you were to get one thing out of this post, just know that Vampire Weekend is a must listen to band and that they're probably like the most awesome band out there and I love all their songs and they're just awesome. So awesome. So so awesome.
(this is so unnatural for me to kind of fangirl over an English-speaking band. im more used to fangirling over actors and asian bands. this is something ive never done before. like never.)
