Saharra let out a sigh as she read the note that had been placed in her desk. She set the note back down and turned to look at the sleeping girl who was curled up in her favorite blanket on the couch. Her mother was lucky that Saharra had needed to come back earlier if not who knows how long the girl was going to be here on her own.

A soft smile crossed her face as she watched her niece sleeping. She had seen pictures of her but ever since Hayden adopted her, Saharra hadn’t been able to interact much with her, always going away on missions or watching her from far away playing with her ‘grandma’ Marie.

Kazia had been waiting for her mother for almost two hours now. She was given specific instructions to wait here and not to wander off. But if her momma didn’t get up here quick, she was just gonna have to nap under the table and its notcomfortable there.

The child flicked through the games on her mothers phone with a huff. Nothing interested her at the moment so she just went into photos. Her momma got the phone to only allow her into certain apps and its not very fun. Kaz flicked, and flicked, through the pictures her momma has of her on the phone and of other people.  

With a sniffle Kaz looked up at the woman who entered with a confused look. “You’re not momma. Do ya know where momma is?” She set her mothers phone down and scooted up in the chair. Kazia made a face, “Momma said she’d be right back but its been like, eighteen years!”

Astra couldn’t help the smile on her face as she watched her granddaughter for a second before talking to her. She was even more beautiful than the pictures made her seem. She looked at the phone Kazia had put down noticing that it was her daughter’s. No wonder she did not answer me when I messaged her. “No I am not your momma, but I do know her. I think I saw her finishing some things that she needed to get done a few days ago but didn’t. Like when you have to pick up for toys before doing something and you don’t do it so then its more toys and it takes you longer to clean them up” Astra tried to make sure her granddaughter understood what she meant. “So she might still be another ten years…but I can keep you company if you want. I am Astra, what’s your name?”

*me crying in the distance* I’m ok I’m just real happy that my two favorite people are back
