Owl always and I mean ALWAYS wears protection along his arms (forearms, forgot what they’re called), usually tactical with kevlar and metal. How are they put on? Powerful straps.
He usually wears this OVER his gloves (Said Gloves are a Mix Between Fabric & Leather. The Leather Being amore Prominent along the hands & palm with Fabric beneath and going over to shoulders. The Leather has metal connected to it to form gantlets of sorts for the hands. The added protection on the forearms completes these ‘gantlets’)
He says it’s for whenever he needs to slide or is in a rough environment, so that his arms stay fine— or if it’s during hand-to-hand and he could bash it against his enemies. HOWEVER
Part of the reason is because crow ( @the-crow-from-the-blog ) once bit his arm out of nowhere and it actually marked and bled out. And crow kept doing it, despite Owl saying no- so he figured it was either instinctive, or Crow just likes to bite…. Protection on his arms prevents that (and may or may not have broken one of crow’s teeth when he initially pit it on)
