Headcanon where Hoseok is popular in highschool and he has a crush on yoongi who is shy and quiet and just minds his own business and they get together and just PURE FLUFF and sleepovers aaaaah
Hoseok always noticed the boy who sat at the last desk, one seat away from the window
He noticed how at exactly 12 PM said boy would close his eyes and smile as the warm sunlight caressed his pale skin, or how he had a habit of holding his hands in between his legs when it was too cold in the classroom, a pout present on his rosy lips. Hoseok wished he could hold his hands and and keep them warm
He also noticed how the boy was always alone for some reason, nose deep in his notebook while he scribbled away furiously, eyebrows furrowed in concentration.
âFuck!â he would sometimes say and crumble away the page, tossing it in the trashcan like some forgotten dream
But Hoseok always took them out after. He didnât understand how someone so talented could throw away art. In fact Min Yoongi was art itself, something he could only admire from afar.
That until he decided to finally confront him
What determined him to do so was the blank stare he always received from Yoongi everytime groups of people ambushed him on the hallways or after class. Hoseok was popular yes, mostly because of his flawless dance performances, so it was a usual occurrence for boys and girls to ask him out, want his attention.
But the only person who didnât want it was the cute boy who sat at the last desk, one seat away from the window, a cold stare plastered on his doll-like features
âStop throwing away your lyricsâ was the only thing Hoseok could manage to say. His heart was beating and his hands were clammy, but when Yoongi raised his head from his notebook to meet the otherâs stare, Hoseok felt like apologizing and jumping right out the window
âExcuse me?â His eyes suddenly went wide, mouth opening in surprise. Hoseok gulped. âDonât tell me you actually check the trashcan to read my notes. I throw them away for a reason you moronâ
âDid you share them with your possy? Bet you all had a good laugh.â
âNo! I just wanted to tell you how much that I like them, how raw and passionate every word is, but fine act like a dick. What do I care? Hoseok was ready to turn on his heel and walk away, but a hand suddenly grabbed the back of his hoody.
âYou really mean it? You like it?â
And he couldnât help but smile at the boy who was now looking at him with hope in his eyes. âOf course I doâ
Thatâs when Yoongi decided Hoseok isnât like the rest
They went from casually hanging out on the hallways to drinking cheaply  made Americanos everyday after school.
Yoongi started going to Hoseokâs performances. He was so amazed at the sheer power radiating from the boy dancing in front of him that he couldnât help but yell âJHOOOOOOOOOPEâ. Letâs just say that everyone joined in after.
After a few months they had their first sleepover. Hoseok was really nervous because by every passing day his attraction to Yoongi became stronger and stronger. Every accidental brush of hands, every gummy smile and 3 AM conversation made butterflies explode in his stomach.
âHoseok,â Yoongi slid under the covers, his warmth latching itself onto Hoseokâs skin. He shuddered. âI wrote a song for you and I want you to read it.â
Yoongiâs cheeks suddenly went red. Â âYes.â
He didnât expect it to be a love song. He also didnât expect to hear Yoongi playing the piano in the corner of his room.
Once he stopped Hoseok was suddenly hyper aware of his surroundings. The feet padding back to the bed, the creek of the mattress, the skin burning against his own, laboured breathing against his ear and finally a pair of soft lips pressing against his, everything had an intensity he never dreamt of experiencing.
âI really really like you Seokie. Even if you called me a dick the first time we actually talkedâ
âWell itâs not my fault you acted like one. Donât worry though, I like dick so itâs fineâ And they both laughed, a content feeling settling over both of their fast beating hearts
Ever since that day everything was different. Hoseok no longer saw him as the shy boy who sat at the last desk, one seat away from the window. Now he was Min Yoongi, the boy whose hand he holds when itâs too cold, the boy whose pout he kisses when heâs angry.
The boy whoâs never alone anymore because Jung Hoseok considers that art should be admired, not kept in the shadows.
