असम में बाढ़ की स्थिति गंभीर, 12 लाख लोग प्रभावित

CM Sonowal pledges poverty-free, inclusive Assam

Guwahati, May 24: Assam’s newly sworn-in chief minister, Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday promised a “poverty-free” state that may serve all sections of the society no matter caste, creed and faith.

“All of us must work collectively. On this election, the Bharatiya Janata Get together (BJP), Bodoland People’s Front and Asom Gana Parishad went to the individuals with a pledge to work for all sections of the society, for Assamese, Bengalis, Rabhas, Marwaris and all others. Individuals have reposed their religion in us,” Sonowal stated in his maiden speech after being sworn-in because the chief minister.

“In Assam, every kind of individuals reside. We might have totally different method of praying to the God, however now we have been dwelling collectively for ages,” Sonowal stated.

Referring to the problem of linguistic divide within the state, Sonowal, who spoke in Assamese, mentioned: “Our authorities will work together with all sections of the society, starting from the Barak Valley to Brahmaputra Valley.”

He mentioned within the final two years Prime Minister Narendra Modi has steered an inclusive central authorities dedicated to growth and “good governance”.

Sonowal additionally appreciated the immense sacrifices and arduous work of foot troopers of the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
