33. Concept of home and family?
At best, her concepts of home and family are skewed. She was         not raised in some loving environment with happy, healthy par-         ents that set good examples for their daughter. She was left a-         lone with her mother at a young age, a truly putrid woman that         treated Rosalind more like a roommate than a daughter--and a         roommate she had no respect for at that. Rosalind learned to         take care of herself at a young age, and learned all her basic         skills from school and her nanny rather than the woman that         gave birth to her. She believes that "home" is wherever you         make it, really; if one is happy, then one is finally home.
36. What makes them feel guilty?
It depends on the person. With someone like Robert, she has         has to be excessively cruel, have time to reflect on it, and then         finds herself to be apologetic. For others, it takes less, but the         circumstances are entirely different. Her choices are what make         her feel guilty about the fates of figures like DeWitt, Comstock--         even Jack and Elizabeth. She knows she cannot change what         has come to pass, but still she feels heavy with remorse.
