About a month ago, I downloaded a voice changer program to take a crack at doing a Darkiplier VA of my own. It turned out much better than I could have anticipated. This sonnet was the second poem I recorded in the Dark voice, and it is the one I’m most proud of thus far. I also chose Sonnet 144 because I feel that it really fits the theme of WKM quite beautifully.
After debuting it on Elly’s Discord server, I’ve finally decided to show it to you guys. Enjoy! And if you have requests, don’t hesitate to drop an ask in my inbox! :)
Sonnet 144
by William Shakespeare
Two loves I have of comfort and despair,
Which like two spirits do suggest me still:
The better angel is a man right fair,
The worser spirit a woman colour’d ill.
To win me soon to hell, my female evil
Tempteth my better angel from my side,
And would corrupt my saint to be a devil,
Wooing his purity with her foul pride.
And whether that my angel be turn’d fiend
Suspect I may, yet not directly tell;
But being both from me, both to each friend,
I guess one angel in another’s hell:
Yet this shall I ne’er know, but live in doubt,
Till my bad angel fire my good one out.
