Shiki initiates the player pact -> Shiki attempts to be friends with Neku despite his attitude -> Neku betrays her in a move where he almost kills her -> Shiki is waaay too forgiving afterwards and they start to become real friends -> Shiki rubs off on Neku in a good way

Sora meets Neku by chance and offers to help him -> Sora tries to be friends with Neku despite his attitude -> Neku betrays him in a move that endangers him -> Sora is waaay too forgiving afterwards and they start to become real friends -> Sora rubs off on Neku in a good way

(And by "a good way" I mean that he starts to sound like them at times and he generally starts to drop his asshole loner nature and start to care about others. As for Neku in Twewy, at first he just wants to win to survive. By week 2, he wants to win so he can bring both himself and Shiki back. And by the end of Twewy, he cares about others and wants to bring everyone in Shibuya back, not just him and his friends, and even grows enough to trust Josh to save it on his own choice. Then, as for Neku in DDD, he starts out only caring about finding his partner, and only wanting to find Shiki so he can get out of this game. Then, after he betrays Sora, he starts to actually care about Sora as a person, and by that point (considering the second visit) it's implied that Neku cares aboyt finding Shiki now because he cares about her and her wellbeing as well. And by the end of the second visit to traverse town, Neku cares about them all, even considering Joshua as his friend and asks him to come with them)

It is worth mentioning that despite the fact that Neku starts to open up a little more and become a generally nicer person, it is also either very obvious or commented on that either Shiki or Sora have rubbed off on him or that he's become more like them in some ways

Well I don’t ship them personally (prob bc I’ve never played twewy and idk every aspect of Neku’s personality/story) but I do like their interactions from DDD! From what I’ve seen, they seem to be polar opposites (…or are they? :>)
