They're secretly really fucking simple- when you're allowed to mark up your sheet music with notes about changes and where to make note of change in time signature and where the key signature decides to switch from one to another.

But I'm not allowed to, because I'm goingto be auditioning with this piece, and notes on your paper suggests that you're an incompotent fuck who has no rights to apply to a musical academy, in the words of my piano teacher.

Okay, so those weren't her exact words, she doesn't swear unless she's REALLY trying to make a point, but she did say that marking up your score is a terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE idea when you're trying to audition for a school. So I have photocopies of fucking everything, and it's marked up, and I can't play shit without these markings anymore, and I feel so dependant...

Like really- something about Clementi makes me think this guy didn't actually listen to this song when he was writing it, I think he just gathered up his notes on the in-vogue genre of the time and threw all of it together into some really sick and twisted classical piece that he knew- he had to have fucking KNOWN- would give jazz pianists like me serious problems in the future. That pompus douche. Probably planned the whole thing out.
