My review: (5*)Â I love this series and Socrates, the philosophical dog, is one of my favorite fictional pet. This means I started to read this ARC as soon as I got it. I think that Bethany Blake writes wonderful pets: realistic, endearing and funny at the same time. This book is lovely as all the others in this series: it's entertaining, engaging, and fun to read. It was great to meet again the cast of characters, I loved to read about Daphne's antics and the evolution in her sentimental situation. The mystery is solid, it kept me guessing till the end and the solution came as a surprise. I can say I loved this book and read it as fast as I could. I look forward to reading the next installment because I want more Socrates and more Daphne. Highly recommended! Many thanks to Kensington Books and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
