i'm jaded. i'm tired. i've been burned many times and i experience a world every day that hates me, of course i'm mad about it. i've learned i can't trust most people i see in a day to view me as a human being. even people i trust now can easily heelturn the moment it becomes lucrative to dismember people like me for discourse scrap metal. i think i'm allowed to talk about that, and i think i'm allowed to do so without having to carve down and coddle and sweeten my tone. i've already been expected to do that for most of my life, actually. comes with the territory of being seen as a girl-then-woman by the people around me.

but pretty much every other marginalized group out there is allowed to vent however they want about anyone and everyone with an inch over them in any direction on the social ladder. nobody in this small catalogue of disillusioned people is a representative speaking for all trans men, nor for all transmascs. if it's unethical to point out bad behavior and tone match it, then it's unethical for the behavior to be carried out to begin with. if anyone can vent however they want then we can vent here.

if it looks reductive and crass, be mad at the mirror, not the hands holding it.
